To understand others is a special talent some people possess. They are like these leeches that grab on to their prey and then ooze out everything with an act of sympathy and empathy. Some on the other hand are genuinely concerned and try to give an ear and provide comfort. However, I think the most difficult task is to understand yourself and your dear ones. However, bonded you are with the person concerned, when it snaps it does. It pains double because the other hasn’t known this part of you at all. But why should one understand others. Who is the person who has fully expressed understood. Sometimes I even have to look up the dictionary to see what the word understand means. People by means of being who they are expect some favors from others, a very likely situation. But they never realize the other may not be in a position for such an act. At the height of the moment, we may feel cheated and deceived but life’s like that. Priorities change when new people enter our lives or some changes occur that is unacceptable to us. The emotions that rush out are momentary in case of some, but deep seated in case of others. I like those who are frank, those ones who just burst out what they feel at the spur of the moment rather than those who keep it within themselves all in search for the right moment. One way or the other it is a loss for those who loved, those who cared. Being misunderstood is the worst. And if being short tempered is a habit, then it makes the situation all the more worse. I say, beware, it hurts a lot to be separated from the one you love, it hurts more to know that the other is hurting inside, but I am unable to help. To understand or misunderstand that is the question.

'Happy to Help' Always.........

The ‘ready to help’ Pug in the new Vodafone ad has caught all our attentions in particular, the animal lovers who shouted abuse. One has to thank the Hutch Co. (orange and pink) for bringing the word pug into regular usage.

We were on our first trip back home from the university, a huge bunch of 20 to 30 would be masters in their subjects of specialization, barely six months out of college, bratty and noisy put into a ever so spacious university — the freedom (our then adult world, rocky, dark expanses of forests, wild animals, haunted hous
es and some scattered school and hostel buildings). One of the passengers had a dog with him, his Sona or was it Sonia, but it was something starting with the letter S. He kept her in a small cage, next to him, fed all that he bought for himself and baby talked her to sleep and not to bark. Gradually as the night fell, we all fell into talking. Sona (let’s name her Sona for now) was the second prize winner of the National Dog Competition in the city. We were shown all her silver medals, and the rare opportunity to pat her and play with her. She was a friendly dog, a small one, I forget her breed. The light talk took on the tone of bragging when dinner arrived and when it was time to sleep he took out a book full of dog pictures and was finding which dogs we resembled. Pug came as a savior to all of us. We discussed the Hutch dog and were given loads of information on how to maintain and rear one, the statistics, place of availability, so on and so forth. Thanks to our night prayers, he and Sona was gone when morning came, our luggage all intact of course. Pug has stayed with all of us since that day, because according to him, one among us resembled the dog.
It is a acute
advertisement. The makers are experts in audience psychology. However, people react to according to their experience and comprehension. There is an article today in The New Indian Express about the ad, a comment on how the little girl wears her socks. Yes she puts them socks-shoe-socks-shoe not left sock-right sock-left shoe-right shoe. Many of us would have missed it.
Well, I think the time period of the ad is 2 days. Because she has her tie on when she
searches for her socks and it is absent when she is in the bus…. Wonderful ad, between!!

Sunday mornings are wonderful. All morning are wonderful if we are awake and have a good feeling deep inside us. If we are happy, everything looks and feels good. That's the way it is always. It's within us. We make our joys, sorrows, tensions, pressures, insomnia....what else everything to do with our so called missed or bad or even good luck. However, today is a Friday. Fridays are wonderful too, because the week ends today for many. We can rest. no school, no office, it is just relaxation. My mother might think otherwise, because she will have extra work tomorrow as all of us are at home, her noisy bunch. But I' m sure she enjoys it, she loves her weekends because we all our here, it is a rare occassion. It is not often that she gets the whole quorum together. Dad is happy too because his kids are around and his family is full again after months, maybe after the New Year. It is always wonderful to be home, to be with my loved ones, any day is wonderful as long as it lasts this way.
